The Intercultural Experience Assignment: ICE 4

You should engage in your ICE 4 experience alone. (Remember, part of the purpose of the ICE experiences is to move you progressively further and further outside of your comfort zone.)

• Your job this time is to attend a religious service of a faith unfamiliar to you. There are, for example, several mosques within a 5-mile radius of campus, a Jewish synagogue in Reston, and a Baha’i temple within half a mile of campus on Route 7. (Be careful: if you are, say, a Baptist and you attend a Presybterian service, that wouldn’t count. These are different denominations, but not different faiths. In other words, if you practice a faith in which Jesus is the central figure, you should attend a service of a faith in which Jesus is not the central figure.)
