• The topic for this listing assignment is "My Communication Strengths." When it comes to your own communication, in what ways are you strong/capable?

• The assignment is to write a total of 5 items, each expressing one of your communication strengths. Each item should consist of at least one complete sentence, and there is no maximum length for an item. Be sure to follow all of the General Instructions regarding formatting your assignment.

• "I can" indicates a statement of strength, and you may use that construction one time. "I am capable of," "I have the ability to," and "My strength is" are also statements of strength, and, similarly, they may each be used once.

• The words "more," "better," "now" and "less" all indicate progress, not strength, and we've already done progress.. Don't use these words.. Remember, write about strengths you have, not strengths you don't have.

• "I can speak in sign language" is in fact a communication strength. If you write that, you'll get credit for it. If, however, you also write "I can speak Spanish," that's the same strength, not a different one.

• If, the day before the assignment is due, you haven't yet come up with 5 different communication strengths, you need to get stronger! Remember, at this point lying is not permitted!
