| From 1980 to 1991, I taught for the University of Maryland European Division overseas. In ’82, I met Tom Moore and Lynn Flanagan during a one-term (eight-week) assignment to Rota, Spain, where Tom was also teaching for UMd. A couple of years later, I was living and teaching in Nuernberg, Germany, and I got to know Tom Crain, who taught for Maryland in Heidelberg. The Flanagan-Moores now live in Tucson, AZ, where Tom is the editor of the Mineralogical Record, and Tom Crain lives here in Maryland and works for Johns Hopkins University. In July of this year, the Flanagan-Moores did a two-week East Coast tour. On the 14th, Tom C picked them up in Baltimore and brought them down to Chesapeake Beach to spend the day. Reading from left to right, that's Tom Crain, Tom Moore, Lynn Flanagan and Becca. |
