We left the East Coast on December 27 and spent two nights in Cleveland, where I lived from 1991 through 2006. After settling in to our hotel in Middleburgh Heights, we met my old friends Les and Holly for Friday-night dinner at the North End Tavern, a wonderful place they recommended out in Hudson. The next night, Holly wasn't able to join us, but we had Chinese food at Sun Luck Gardens in Cleveland Heights with Les and my oldest friends, Mark and Sally Wachter, who I've known since I was a freshman at the University of Michigan and Mark and I worked at the campus radio station together.
