On August 2, while Alvin and Penny were still sound asleep in their hotel, Laurie and I got up at Oh Dark Thirty and drove to Montpelier, OH, for the biannual Stahl family reunion. In this photo (taken at the old Stahl homestead), reading from left to right, you see Laurie, her cousin Megan, her father Fred, Fred's sister (and Megan's mother) Kathy, Laurie's mother Audrey, and me. The next morning, Kathy and Megan returned to VA and Fred and Audrey and Laurie and I caravanned to Galena, IL, for two days, then back to IA, where the Stahls visited with us for a week.
