On June 9, 2007, I drove up to the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore for HonFest, an annual celebration of all things "hon." I lunch at the Cafe Hon, then spent hours roaming around 36th Street, which was lined with artist's booths, information stands, funky shops, beer vans, live bands ... and hundreds and hundreds of hons in beehive hairdos, leopard-print blouses, cat's eye glasses, beads and boas. I hadn't heard of HonFest before, but, now that I've seen it once, I'll be a regular visitor! B'lieve in yourself, Hons!
