In 2004, I gathered with five of my first cousins on my mother's side and assorted spouses and kids and grandchildren for a family reunion on the beach at Hilton Head, SC. In 2005, a bigger group (including six of my first cousins) assembled at Carolina Beach, NC. We didn't reune in 2006, but, this year, our biggest crowd to date collected at my house in Chesapeake Beach for the weekend of August 24-26. By the time we thought to take this group shot out on my deck on Sunday morning, quite a few people had already left. In the back from left to right are Cousin Donna and her husband John from Texas, my sister's boyfriend David from NC, my daughter Becca, my sister Laura from FL, my Cousin David's wife Bonnie and Cousin David from VA, BethAnn from MD, my Cousin Jeri and her new boyfriend Jim from NC, and me. In the front are BethAnn's daughter Casey and David and Bonnie's daughter Nicole. Not pictured: Cousin Shiela (not a typo!) and her husband Stuart, Jeri's daughter Lara and her three kids (Hunter, Hannah and Sarah), Shiela's son Jeff and his wife Robin and son Benjamin, Aunt Claire, Aunt Clara and her boyfriend Sam, and my old friend JoAnn.
