In December of 2006, Becca and I took our first-ever big Christmas trip, to an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic which is owned by the Spanish Barcelo chain. We were so pleased with our experience that, this year, we decided to try another Barcelo property and picked the Barcelo Tucancun Beach in Cancun, Mexico. Again, we had a terrific time, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Barcelo chain, which offers real value for money. The rooms are clean and pleasant, the beaches are beautiful, the food and drink are tasty and included — what else do you need?
