Our first full day in Chicago, we left Tessa at Alia's and went to the Field Museum, then had a wonderful lunch at India Garden, an old favorite of Laurie's. Laurie cabbed back to Alia's to walk Tessa, and Becca and I walked to Navy Pier, then to this sunny beach, and then all the way to Alia's place — about a six-mile hike!
