On October 16, Laurie and I flew from Des Moines to Denver to Sacramento for my niece Aly's bat mitzvah on the 17th. Becca came in from Arizona, my sister from Florida, her kids from Illinois and Florida, my parents from Nevada, and other family members from all over the map. Aly did a wonderful job.
