Alberto Giacometti
Giacometti's attenuated, anonymous metal figures appeal to me. I'm not sure why, exactly I just know that I like them.
This piece is in the Sarah Scaife Gallery in Pittsburgh, and I first photographed it around '72 or '73, with my then-girlfriend Amy Bogert. When Lydia and I lived in P'burgh in '78-'79, I slyly took an updated version of the same shot that's Lydia to the right of the statue.
