"Woulda Coulda Shoulda"

I don't often have multiple stories come out in the same month, but in April of 2024 I had two release in the same week, both "The Last Dance" in Level Best Books' Mystery Most International and this story in the new Malice Domestic anthology, Mystery Most Devious.

"Woulda Coulda Shoulda" is not a Helmut Erhard story, but both Helmut and the Hearne PD's Ursula Cantrell make cameo appearances right at the end. (Since it isn't technically part of the Erhard series, it doesn't include the massive Easter egg that's in all of the "official" Helmut stories....)

The book launched on April 26 at Malice, and the story was my hundred and twentieth to appear in print.
